Environmental Photo Contest

The Lions Clubs Environmental Photo Contest is up and running for District 19C for 2011/2012. Any member of a Lions club in good standing can enter an original, unaltered, black-and-white or color photo of the environment of their Lions club in the following 2011-12 Lions Environmental Photo Contest. No people may be included in the photo or they will be disqualified.

Categories for submission include: ·
Animal Life ·
Landscape (Urban or natural) ·
Plant Life ·
Weather Phenomenon ·
Protecting our future with trees: Photos of trees and the vital role they play in our communities

All submissions must be delivered to me, the Environmental Chairperson for the district, no later than November 30, 2011. At that time, the district will convene a panel of impartial judges to select the single best photo, which will be submitted to Multiple District 19 to compete at that level, and potentially on to Lions Clubs International for judging at the next international convention. Photos will be judged based on originality, artistic merit, and portrayal of the environmental theme.

Please be clear about the following contest requirements: ·
All photos must be 8" x 10" (20.3 x 25.4 cm) with NO BORDER.
The photo itself must be 8" X 10" with NO BORDER, or it will be disqualified. ·
Clubs may submit as many photos for the district-level competition as they like, but only one will proceed to the MD19 level of competition.

Project New Hope

Many of us in the Pacific Northwest understand the challanges of being a military family, few understand the added challenge of war.
We now have an opportunity to support our returning troops AND their families as they attempt to reinvent their dreams.
Get more information here at our website and see the video here
Share the flyer
With the large number of military families in our area, District C has taken a special interest in making this project a prime topic to ensure that our military families have the opportunity to enjoy life after deployment.
